CACP has been able to contribute to the global discussion on wireless technology, advanced communications such as WiMAX and WiFi, and the barriers and opportunities for persons with disabilities to technology. Building international partnerships within the European Union, United Kingdom wireless companies and with universities has allowed leveraging of resources and sharing of findings on critical topics. Entities such as the British Consulate in Atlanta, GA has also lead to fruitful linkages to advance mutual agendas among educators, policy makers and industry officials. A Policy paper prepared for the European Commission, Information Society Directorate was utilized in the 2005 E-Accessibility action plan to target persons with disabilities and ensure their inclusion in the information society.
