Policy

CACP incorporates many of the legislative, regulatory and policymaking processes used at the Federal level to provide a strong foundation in the creation of policy initiatives. CACP contributes to national, regional, state and city government policy making bodies such as the Federal Communications Commission, National Telecommunications and Information Administration, Southern Growth Policy Board's Southern Technology Council, University System of Georgia, and the Atlanta City Council. CACP's reputation and expertise within the technology and advanced communications policy arena has lead to numerous sponsored grants and contracts on important issues such as persons with disabilities, e-government, universal access, emergency communications, future technologies, and infrastructure developments. CACP generates policy options and recommendations on these issues to a wide range of stakeholders and also alerts appropriate constituents about impending actions. CACP is a part of the School of Public Policy of the Ivan Allen College at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
